Devi Talab Mandir - देवी तालाब मंदिर

Devi Talab Mandir, the iconic temple in Jalandhar, Punjab—capturing its distinctive temple-in-the-tank architecture, serene pond surroundings, and ornate design elements. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga (also revered as Mata Tripurmalini) and is considered one of the 51 sacred Shakti Peethas in India, marking where Sati's right breast is believed to have fallen in this place.

Bhakti Bharat says the temple is elegantly built in the center of a sacred lake or “talab,” which gives it its name. Devotees often take a ritual dip in this pond. Features include intricate carvings and gold-plated temple tower (shikhara). The design blends Hindu and Sikh architectural motifs—such as arches, floral patterns, jaalis—drawing parallels with structures like the Golden Temple. Within the complex, you'll find an ancient Kali temple, shrines devoted to other deities, and a replica of the Amarnath Cave.

Devi Talab Mandir Darshan Timing
Devi Talab Mandir is open for the whole week and the darshan timing is 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Aarti rituals occur in the evenings. No entry fee is required.

Devi Talab Mandir Prime Festivals
The temple is a hub for spiritual life—celebrated prominently during Navratri and Durga Puja. It also hosts the Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan, the world’s oldest Hindustani classical music festival, held annually in December at the Samadhi of the saint-musician Baba Harballabh within the temple premises.
