Standing facing east (Sthanu form), depicts Lord Vishnu as the protector of the universe – in Kaliyuga Vaikuntha. The Lord holds a conch and a chakra in his upper hands, the right lower hand is in Varada Mudra (boon posture) and the left lower hand rests on the thigh. The idol is adorned with ornaments and silk robes, much like the idol of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. In some rituals, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi (forms of Goddess Lakshmi) are also worshipped along with the main deity.
The Venkateswara Swamy Temple is a private temple, built on 12 acres of private land. The temple was built and funded by Hari Mukunda (Harimukunda) Panda, a senior landowner/devotee in the local area. This temple opened recently – according to most sources, it was inaugurated about 4-5 months ago.
