Badrinath Dham - बद्रीनाथ धाम

Badrinath Dham, also known as Badrinarayan, is situated on the banks of river Alaknanda in the lap of Himalayas in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state, India. It is an ancient temple of Hinduism, dedicated to Bhagwan Vishnu. Here Badrinarayan, a form of Bhagwan Vishnu, is worshipped. This temple is one of the Char Dhams and is included in the major pilgrimage sites of India.

When do the doors of Badrinath temple open and close?
The date of opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham is decided by bidhi-bidhan on Basant Panchami after the calculation of Panchag and generally, the temple doors are closed around October- November (dates are fixed on Vijayadashmi) at the advent of winters.

Timings to visit Badrinath temple:
This temple of Bhagwan Vishnu is open for seven days a week, with regular visit hours from 6 am to 8 pm.
