Khatu Shyam Mandir - खाटू श्याम मंदिर

Khatu Shyam Mandir is known as the Kalyugi avatar of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. Khatu Shyam Mandir is located in Sikar district of Rajasthan, which is visited by a large number of devotees every year. In this pilgrimage site Krishna and Barbarika are the worshiped deities, who are often worshiped as Kuldevta.

The idol is made of rare stone. Devotees believe that the temple houses the head of Barbarika or Khatushyam, a great warrior who sacrificed his head at the request of Krishna during the Kurukshetra war.

Khatushyam Mandir Darshan Timings:
Temple is open all week, and the darshan timings are 4:30 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (summers) or 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Winter). On the ekadashi day too much devotees visit for darshan.

In Sanatan culture, the flag is considered a symbol of victory. A mark is offered to him for the sacrifice made by Shyam Baba. It is considered a symbol of his victory as he had donated his head to Bhagwan Krishna in charity for the victory of religion. The symbol is saffron, blue, white, red colored flag. Photos of Shyam Baba and Bhagwan Krishna are attached on these marks. Coconut and peacock feathers are also adorned on some marks. Nowadays gold and silver marks are also offered to Shyam Baba by many devotees.

Prime Festival of Khatu Shyam ji:
The Falgun fair of Khatu Shyam Dham is quite famous. A large number of devotees come here on this occasion. The Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha in Falgun month is the most important day of this fair. It is believed that the mere sight of Khatu Baba removes all the troubles of the life of the devotees. People believe that Baba Shyam fulfills everyone's wishes.

Khatushyam Mandir is located in Khatu, Rajasthan. The place is well connected with roadways and near a railway station, Ringas Junction, which is just 17 KM away. The nearest airport is Jaipur.
