Mata Shakambhari Devi situated in the shivalik mountain range of saharanpur. Devi appeared on Paush Shukla Purnima ,this Prakatya festival was celebrated Shakambhari Purnima and It is also known as Shakambhari Jayanti. Mata Shakambhari is also called Mata Shakumbhari in some places of Saharanpur and Uttar Pradesh.
Shakambhari Purnima is the concluding day of Shakambhari Navratri, which lasts for eight days from Paush Ashtami. Maa Shakambhari Devi is called the Devi of Vegetables.
While writing and calling Mata Shakambhari, devotees use Shakumbhari, Shakumbri and Shakambhari in the local common language.
