Salasar Balaji Mandir is a very famous Mandir in Churu district of Rajasthan. The Mandir is dedicated to Bhagwan Hanuman. This is the only Mandir in India where Hanuman ji is present with a round face and beard and moustache. A large number of devotees visit the Mandir throughout the year. Salasar Balaji Mandir is known by the local people as Salasar Dham. Devotees also consider it to be self-sufficient and a place of power.

History and Architecture of Salasar Balaji Mandir
It is said about Salasar Balaji Mandir that here Hanuman ji had appeared for the first time to a person named Mahatma Mohandas Maharaj in the form of a bearded and mustache person. Then Mohandas had told Balaji to appear in this form. Therefore, the idol of Hanuman ji with beard and mustache is installed in this Mandir. It is said that Balaji appeared in Asota village of Nagaur district in 1811 to fulfill the promise given to devotee Mohandas. In this Mandir Salasar Balaji is offered churma. There is a religious belief that with the offering of coconut, Bajrangbali fulfills all the wishes of the devotee.
According to the legend, once a farmer was plowing a field. Then suddenly the plow collided with some sharp rocky object and he saw that there was a stone here, one of which was the idol of Hanuman ji and the other idol of Balaji. Meanwhile, the farmer's wife brought food. She made the first offering of millet crumbs to the idol of Balaji. That’s why Salasar Balaji devotees offered churma. It is said that once at night, Balaji appeared in a dream and asked the farmer to install the idol at Salasar in Churu district. Since then, one idol is present in Salasar and the other in Pabolam.
Timings to visit Salasar Balaji Mandir
The Mandir remains open throughout the week and darshan timings are from 6 am to 9 pm. 05:00 AM - Mangal Aarti time, 10:30 AM - Balaji Maharaj's Rajbhog, 06.00 PM - Dhoop and Mohandas ji's Aarti, 7:30 PM - Balaji's Aarti, 10:00 PM - Baba's bedroom. Aarti of. Rajbhog Aarti of Salasar Balaji Maharaj is also performed every Tuesday at 11:00 am.
The temple has a sacred flame believed to have been continuously burning for many years, symbolizing uninterrupted devotion.
Here Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated with great pomp. It is especially crowded every year during Chaitra Purnima and Ashwin Purnima. The fairs organized on these auspicious occasions attract crowds from everywhere to pay homage to the deity. The number of people visiting fairs often reaches six to seven lakhs. There is a religious belief that by worshiping and visiting this Mandir, all the seeker's wishes are fulfilled and the person is relieved of all kinds of diseases.
