Sreekanteswaram Mahadev Temple is located in Pazhavangadi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Bhagwan Shiva. The temple has a history of over 700 years, with the deity worshipped as Srikanteswaran, also known as Gauri Shankar, symbolizing the union of Bhagwan Shiva and Devi Parvati.

Sreekanteswaram Mahadeva Temple's main deity is Bhagwan Shiva, facing east. While there is no idol of Goddess Parvati, she is believed to be ever-present in the sanctum. Other deities enshrined within the temple include Maha Ganapathy, Lord Murugan (Subramanya), Anjaneya (Hanuman), Sree Krishna, Swamy Ayyappan, and Nagaraja. The temple follows traditional Kerala architecture.
According to legend, an old woman sweeper of the Pazhaya Srikanteswaram temple recognized the self-manifested Shiva Linga idol while resting at this place. She had a vision of Shiva at this place.

The temple is open throughout the week and the darshan timings are from 4:00 am to 12:00 pm and evening darshan timings are from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Several major festivals are celebrated at the Sreekanteswaram Mahadeva Temple, including the Thiruvathira Festival, a 10-day annual festival held in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (December–January), culminating on the Thiruvathira day. Maha Shivaratri, the 24-hour Palabhishekam (milk offering) is the main ritual on every Shivaratri.
