It is located on the mountainside (kada) near the toy train tracks between Point 136 and Point 158 in the Matheran hill station. Neral Railway Station (Central Railway) is the nearest station to Neral. From here, take a shared taxi or auto to reach Peb Fort/Matheran Base. After this, the statue can be reached via an easy 30–45 minute walk along the Matheran toy train track. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, is located approximately 85–90 km away.

The 52-foot-tall idol of Lord Ganesha at Kadyavarcha Ganpati was carved out of a naturally formed rock on the hillside. The site is surrounded by lush green mountains, waterfalls (especially during the monsoon), and spectacular valley views. Devotees seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha before embarking on the trek to the nearby Peb Fort (Vikatgad).

Set against a rocky backdrop, this statue is one of the most photographed Ganesha sites in Maharashtra. The surrounding scenery is stunning during the monsoon (July–September) and winter (October–February) seasons.
