Shiv Evam Shani Mandir History and Architecture
Shiv and Shani Temple was established by Maharaj Shri Sawai Ram Singh in 1877. It is a group of two temples, Lord Shiva Temple and Shri Ganesh Temple. Both the temples are connected by a single wall and are interconnected. Due to the proximity of the two buildings, the boundaries of the temples are not clearly defined. Most of the times, when new devotees come to visit these temples, they are unable to differentiate between the two temples. It is situated next to the famous ancient Hanuman temple (around 1724) and near the ancient Shiva temple and Shri Ganesh temple.
The Shiva and Ganesha temples share the same boundary; devotees sometimes visit both temples. It is considered the biggest Shani Dham in Connaught Place.
