Maharishi Valmiki is considered as the first poet of Sanskrit language. Saint Valmiki who originally written Ramayan. The Indian Valmiki society worships him in the form of Bhagwan.
In Delhi NCR you can find a number of Valmiki temples but among all prachin Valmiki Mandir is the famous one which is situated behind mandir marg fire station. This is the place where Mahatma Gandhi spent nearly 7-8 months in a room behind this temple. His resting pillows, bed and spinning wheel are preserved here.
