
The Motamal Maharaj Temple is located in the town of Karhal in the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to prabhu Hanuman and commemorates the martyrdom of Motamal, the commander of Prithviraj Chauhan, the last Rajput king of Delhi. Senapati Motamal Ji was martyred at the hands of King Jaichand in a battle fought at this very spot. The Motamal Maharaj Temple is also known as the Manokamna Purti Temple.
