Short History

26 January

celebrated Saint Tyagaraja's Aradanai on 26 th January 2020, in accordance with the tradition. This year was the fifteenth year of carrying forward this tradition in Gurgaon and the event happened on two days. 25th January 2020, the Carnatic music students from class 1 to class 12 participated in a Carnatic music competition on saint Tyagaraja's kritis. The event was judged by stalwarts of music in Gurgaon. The children participated with lot of enthusiasm and presented very rare and beautiful kritis to a spellbound audience. The whole enthusiasm got triggered doubly when the judges posed questions which seemed difficult to the audience, but was easily answered by the children. It was a great feeling to note that the tradition of music is being handed over into very able hands.

On 26th January 2020, the rendition of saint Tyagaraja's Pancharatna kritis were done in accordance with the tradition by the music teachers and students of Gurgaon. The aura of the place turned so divine that one felt as if one was in Tiruvaiyar, the place where the samadhi of Saint Tyagaraja stands.
Shri Siddhi Ganesh Mandir, has continuously strived to keep up our tradition and in accordance with this, we at the temple celebrate the Tamil New Year on April 14, the Rig, Sama and Yajur ved upakarmas during Rakshabandhan period, Vasanta Navratri and Sharadh Navratri, the rendition of Tirupavai and Thiruvempavaai ( Margazhi Utsavam) between Dec 15 to Jan 15, Guruvayur Ekadasi and Vaikunta Ekadashi, Shivaratri, and all important festivals in accordance with the tradition. Apart from this we also conduct regular havans to Lord Ganesha, Lord Guruvayur appa and also Abhishekams take place on the important tithis to the respective deities. The temple is run with the contribution of devotees. Shri siddhi ganesha cultural society, (Registered society) manages Shri Siddhi Ganesh Mandir.
