Since the year 1997, Maharaj has been giving discourses on Shri Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Shri Ram Katha, Devi Bhagwat, Shiv Puran Katha, Bhagwat Geeta etc. The most popular and highest paid Bhagwat Katha reader Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj has been awarded honorary doctorates for Shanti Doot, Dharma Ratan etc. Thakur Maharaj left home at the age of just 6 and reached Vrindavan and took part in the Rasleela Sansthan of Braj.
