Recite Shrimad Devi Bhagwat, Shri Bhagwat Puran, Shri Vishnu Puran, Bhavishyottar Puran to get virtue in this month.

Things to keep in mind in Adhikmaas
It is considered inauspicious to do any holy work in Adhik Maas. The marriage done during this period becomes the cause of rift between husband and wife. Namkaran, Griha Pravesh, Yajnopaveet as well as shopping for valuables should not be done during Malmas.

Along with this, Adhik Maas is very important for doing penance and it is dedicated to Lord Purushottam who is a form of Lord Vishnu. In this month, the devotees get involved in pleasing the Lord with all their devotion and strength.
