Sivaganga
It is situated at a distance of 200 meters from Baidyanath Temple. When Ravana was taking the linga to Lanka, he felt the desire of Laghushanka. He handed over the Shiva linga to the shepherd and left for a while. After a short time, they were required to wash their hands and be purified before touching the Shiva Linga. When he could not find any water source nearby, he slammed the earth vigorously with his fist and drew water from the earth and made a pond. This pond is now known as Sivaganga.

Trikuta mountain
Trikoot Parvat is situated at a distance of 10 KM from Deoghar. It is also known as Trikutachal. Trikuta mountain falls on the way to Basukinath temple. There are many caves and waterfalls on this mountain. The famous Trikutachal Mahadev temple is situated on this mountain. There is also an ashram of Rishi Dayanand here. Here Bam Baba did penance. Mayurakshi river originates from this hill. Trikut Pahar is one of the most exciting tourist places in Deoghar.

Nandan Pahar
Nandan hill is located at a distance of 3 KM from Deoghar. According to mythology, Nandi was the gatekeeper of Bhagwan Shiva when Ravana forcibly tried to enter Shivadham. Nandi stopped them from entering the premises of Bhagwan Shiva. Ravana got angry and threw him on this mountain and hence this hill is known by his name. The temples built on the hill have beautiful sculptures of Shiva, Parvati, Ganesh and Kartik. Beautiful views of sunrise and sunset can also be seen from here. The amusement park is built on the top of Nandan mountain.

Satsang Ashram
Satsang Ashram is located at a distance of 3 km from Deoghar. It is a holy place for the devotees of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra. To the south-west of Deoghar there is a big ashram established by Sri Sri Anukul Chandra called Satsang Ashram. It belongs to the Radhasoami sect. It is a universal reform ashram and works to promote spiritual development.

Naulakha Temple
Naulakha Temple is situated at a distance of 1.5 km from Deoghar. This temple resembles the temple of Ramakrishna of Belur. Inside it are the idols of Radha-Krishna. This temple was built by Queen Charushila and an amount of about 9 lakhs was spent in the construction of the temple, hence it came to be known as Nolakha Mandir. This amount was completely donated by Queen Charushila.

Tapovan
Tapovan is situated at a distance of 10 km from Deoghar. There is a temple of Shiva in Tapovan which is called Tapanatha Mahadev. Many caves are found on this hill. Shivling is installed in a cave. The broken rock here is the center of attraction. It is said that when Hanuman ji hit him with a mace, the rock burst from the middle. There is also a pool here which is called Shukta Kund. Mother Sita used to take bath in this pool. It is said that Rishi Valmiki came here for penance. It is here that Sri Sri Balananda Brahmachari had attained Siddhi.

Rikhiyapeeth Ashram
Rikhiyapeeth Ashram is located at a distance of 13 km from Deoghar. Swami Bihar Yoga Vidyalaya Sri Sri Pancha Dashnam Paramahansa Alkhabarah was founded by Swami Satyanand Saraswati. Thousands of devotees from different corners of the world participate in an annual festival and celebrations. This ashram is actually a holy place and its charitable works are done for the welfare of the local villages.

Harila Jorik
Harila Jorik is situated at a distance of 8 km from Deoghar. Harila Jori is situated in the northern part of Deoghar. In ancient times this area was full of Haritaki (Myrobalan) trees. This is the place where Ravana placed a Shiva Linga on Bhagwan Vishnu who was in the form of a shepherd and visited for a short time. Both Shiva and Vishnu met here. Hence the name, Harila-Jori. The Shiva temple was built by Achintan Das. There is also a pond at this place which is famous as Shool Harini Tank. This is a famous tourist spot.

Pagla Baba Ashram (Srinivas Aangan)
Pagla Baba Ashram is located at a distance of 8 km from Deoghar Tower Chowk. It was founded by Pagla Baba Late Leelanand Thakur. who were from Bangladesh. The idols of Radha-Krishna are installed here. The idols weigh around 6 quintals and are made of eight metals. A big fair is held at this place on the day of Janmashtami.

Devasanga Monastery
Devsanga Math is located at a distance of 3 km from Deoghar and 2 km from Deoghar Railway Station. Devsanga Math in Deoghar was established by Narendra Nath Brahmachari. The Nava Durga temple of Devasanga Math has an idol of Devi Durga in Bengali style. There are also pictures of Krishna, Annapurna and Maheshwar. Next to the temple, an idol of its founder Narendra Nath Brahmachari is also installed. Durga Puja festival is celebrated as an important festival in Deoghar.

Elephant Mountain or Mahadevtri
Hathi Parvat or Mahadevtri is situated at a distance of 3 km from Deoghar. To the east of Deoghar is a small hill known as Hatti Pahar or Mahadevtri. This hill looks like an elephant when viewed from a distance, hence it is called Hathi Pahar. There is a small stream of water that flows continuously. People come here and drink the water of the river. It is believed that drinking its water cures stomach related diseases.

Basukinath Temple
Basukinath Temple is located in Jarmundi village of Dumka district, 42 km away from Deoghar. It is said that Basukinath temple is the court of Baba Bhol Nath. Shiva and Parvati temples are face to face in Basukinath Dham. In the evening when the doors of both the temples are opened, devotees are advised to move away from the front as it is believed that Bhagwan Shiva and Mother Parvati meet each other at this time. Basukinath is one of the oldest temples. There are also many other smaller temples of different Gods in the same complex.

Sheetla Mata Mandir
This temple is situated at a distance of about 300-400 meters from the famous Ghanta Ghar of Deoghar. The temple of Mata Sheetla near Baba Vaidyanath Dham is very ancient. Every day a large number of women devotees visit the Sheetla Mata temple as compared to men. Galvai Puja and Basaudi (Basouda) festivals are celebrated with great pomp in this temple. The Nagar Puja in the month of Chaitra in the month of Vaishakh and the festival of Dussehra in the month of Ashwin have special significance in the history of the temple.

Baiju Temple
Baiju Temple is situated at a distance of 700 meters from the Jyotirlinga temple. It is also believed that a shepherd named Baiju had discovered this Jyotirlinga and the place was named Baidyanath Dham after him. According to another belief, Ravana was on his way to Lanka for the purpose of installing the linga of Lord Shiva. Due to a small doubt on the way, he caught the Shivling by a shepherd named Baiju. The Shivling became so heavy that it had to be kept there on the earth. This present Baiju temple was the residence of a Baiju shepherd. According to Mahant Shyamji Goswami of the temple, Baiju the shepherd was none other than Bhagwan Vishnu himself.
