🔱Pradosh Vrat - प्रदोष व्रत

Pradosh Vrat Date: Ashadha Krishna: Thursday, 15 June 2023
Pradosh Vrat

Trayodashi date of the month is in the Pradosha period, the right reason for Pradosh Vrat. The Pradosh period starts 45 minutes before sunset and is 45 minutes after sunset.
The day of Pradosh when the weekly day comes on Monday is called Som Pradosh, the Pradosh on Tuesday is called Bhaum Pradosh and on Saturday, it is called Shani Pradosh.

By the way, the date of Trayodashi is the best for worshiping Bhagwan Shiva. But worshiping Shiva at the time of Pradosh is even more beneficial.

Facts to note: Pradosh Vrat can be different for two different cities of the same country. Since Pradosha Vrat depends on the predominance of Trayodashi at sunset. And the sunset time of two cities can be different, thus Pradosh Vrat time of both those cities can also be different.

That is why it is sometimes seen that, Pradosh Vrat is one day before Trayodashi i.e. on Dwadashi Tithi.

The time of sunset is different for all cities, so before taking Pradosh Vrat, make sure to check the sunset time of your city.
