Jalla Hanuman Temple is located in Patna, Bihar state of India. Jalla Hanuman Temple situated on the banks of the stream of Punpun River is one of the best and ancient Hanuman temples in the country. In the courtyard of the temple located in Jalla, a life-size statue of south-facing Hanuman ji is installed, who has a mountain of Sanjeevani herb in his right hand and a thunderbolt in his left hand. There is Shriyantra on the right side. Grand statues of gods and goddesses are installed in the temple. Right in front of Hanumanji, there is a Shiva temple towards the east, in which the idol of Gaurishankar made of black stone is installed. Five years ago, the statues of Shri Ram Darbar, destroyer of obstacles Ganesha and Maa Bhagwati were installed here. Devadhidev Mahadev is completely covered with silver. Along with this, Shri Ram Darbar and Yagya Mandap have also been decorated.
It is said that in the year 1705, a saint named Gulaldas Maharaj suddenly appeared in this desolate area and approached the local Thakurdin Tiwari. What came out of his mouth was, “Tiwari, below your garden the Ganga is flowing towards the south and a huge tree is swaying towards the north. According to Bhavishya Purana, the intention of establishing a temple is visible here. That is why a part of this land is dedicated to Mahavir temple, take it out. After hearing this, Tiwari immediately set aside ten acres of land in his Amrakunj and built two rooms opposite to each other for Devadhidev Mahadev and Mahavir ji. Legend has it that Gulabdas ji stayed here for six months. During this time a big yagya was performed here also. After this Gulaldas ji suddenly disappeared.
