Raval Dham also known as Raval, is a very sacred place located in the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is considered as the birthplace or appearance place of bhagwan Krishna's beloved friend Radharani. Devotees often describe this place as peaceful and extremely spiritual.
History and Architecture of Raval Dham
Raval is believed to be the place where Radha Rani was born. It is a small white marble temple, which is extremely beautiful and extremely sacred. According to tradition, Radharani appeared here in a thousand-petalled golden lotus floating on the Yamuna, which was discovered by King Vrishbhanu. In the main sanctum sanctorum, the child Radharani (known as Ladli Ji) sits gracefully in the form of a divine child. Ladli Ji sits on a high pedestal, often adorned with floral garlands, small ornaments and traditional baby jewellery. Made of white marble, this idol is considered by many devotees and visitors to be one of the most beautiful and heart-warming forms they have ever seen.
Raval Dham is dedicated to the “Laadli-Lala” pair of Radharani and Krishna. There is a beautiful well maintained garden in front of the temple where you can see two trees joined together. The interesting thing about it is that one tree is black and the other is white. Locals say that these two trees are none other than Shri Radha and Shri Krishna. One should chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra as much as possible while sitting in Raval Dham.
