The temple is situated on Shringagiri Hill, approximately 13–14 km from Bengaluru city. It is located near BEML Layout, 5th Stage, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka. BMTC buses regularly connect Rajarajeshwari Nagar to Majestic, K.R. Market, and other parts of Bengaluru. The nearest major railway station is KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station. You can reach the area via the Namma Metro Purple Line by alighting at the Rajarajeshwari Nagar Metro Station. The nearest airport is Kempegowda International Airport.

History and Architecture of Shringagiri Sri Shanmukha Swamy Temple

At the temple, devotees can behold all six faces of Bhagwan Shanmukha—a feature rarely seen in Murugan temples. The sanctum sanctorum houses a magnificent six-faced idol of Murugan seated on a peacock. A unique sun-tracking system directs sunlight straight onto the deity, facilitating a continuous \"Surya Kiran Abhisheka\" (sun-ray anointing ritual) throughout the day.

This temple was constructed with the blessings of Sri Bharathi Teertha Mahaswamiji of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham. According to temple tradition, Bhagwan Shanmukha chose this barren hill as His abode, inspiring the construction of the temple. The temple was designed by Dr. R. Arunachalam.

The temple is situated on the Shringagiri Hill at an elevation of approximately 240 feet above ground level. Its total height is about 123 feet. It features a 62-foot-tall *Gopuram* (tower) adorned with carvings of Bhagwan Shanmukha's six faces. The temple's spire features a 42-foot crystal dome embedded with thousands of crystals; these create a rainbow-like radiance during the day and form patterns of light at night. The entire structure is star-shaped, inspired by the concept of \"Shanmukha\" (the six-faced deity). The temple complex also houses several idols and shrines dedicated to Bhagwan Ganesha and Bhagwan Shiva.
