ISKCON Temple Bengaluru is a major spiritual, cultural and devotional landmark in the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It is one of the most prominent Krishna-Hindu temples in the world and a vibrant centre of Bhakti (devotion) based on the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita and Bhagavata Purana as popularised by Srila A. History & Architecture of ISKCON Temple Bengaluru
❀ The local ISKCON Bangalore Society was registered on 8 May 1978 with the aim of spreading Krishna consciousness through spiritual education and devotional activities. The temple was inaugurated on 31 May 1997 by the then President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
❀ The complex features a gold-plated dhwaja-stambha (flag post) and kalash-shikhara on its spires, making it visually striking.
❀ As per bhaktibharat the main shrine houses the divine couple Sri Sri Radha-Krishna, with several other important shrines in the complex, including Krishna-Balaram, Nitai-Gauranga, Srinivasa Govinda (Venkateswara), Prahlada Narasimha and a memorial shrine to Srila Prabhupada.
