When is the festival of Bhagwan Jagannath Navami Darshan celebrated?

Hera Panchami is celebrated on the 5th day of Rath Yatra, Navami Darshan is observed on the Navami Tithi of Rath Yatra. According to the scriptures, this tradition of Jagannath Rath of Jagannath Rath Yatra is very old and prominent. It is believed that one day Devi Subhadra, the younger sister of Bhagwan Jagannath expressed her desire to take a round of the city and since then the procession started. During this festival, a procession of three chariots of Bhagwan Jagannath, his elder brother Bhagwan Balabhadra and his sister devi Subhadra is taken from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple and stops at the Mausi Maa Temple, where they are offered their favorite food.
