What will happen to the old idol of Ram temple? (राम मंदिर के पुरानी मूर्ति का क्या होगा?)

It is said in Hindu religious scriptures that whenever a new idol of God is installed in a temple or a new place, the old idol has to be removed from there. Ayodhya Ram temple is going to be unveiled on 22 January. The child form of Shri Ram will be consecrated in the grand Ram temple. The idol of Ramlala to be installed has also been selected. In such a situation, the question now is what will happen to the idol of Shri Ram already present in the sanctum of the Ram temple. It is believed that the new idol of Ramlala will be the most beautiful and supernatural idol in the world.
What will happen to the old idol?
It is believed that with the installation of the new idol of Ramlala, the old idol will be re-established in the sanctum of the temple. First of all, a new child-like idol of Ramlala will be installed in the sanctum of the temple, after which the old idol will be installed again.

On one hand, the new idol of Ramlala will be an immovable idol, that is, this new child-like idol will never be removed from the sanctum nor will it be taken out. The old statue will be known as the Utsav statue. This statue will be used in all festivals.

In simple words, whenever any festival related to Shri Ram is celebrated, this idol will be taken out of the sanctum and will be used in religious functions like processions etc. but the idol in the form of a newborn baby will always be installed in the sanctum only. Devotees will continue to get darshan.
