Hindu communities in Canada celebrate the birth of Bhagwan Krishna (Janmashtami) with great reverence and enthusiasm. The occasion is traditionally the biggest and grandest celebration at the Hare Krishna Temple in Toronto. Devotees are allowed to approach the idols and participate in the worship. Janmashtami is celebrated across Canada with great enthusiasm by the Hindu community. They celebrate the birth of Krishna in various ways and show their love for Bhagwan Krishna on that day.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami is traditionally the biggest celebration in the Hare Krishna temple in various Canadian cities. In such a situation, special darshan programs are held in all the temples.
