Bhagwan Abhinandananatha is the fourth Tirthankara in Jainism after the third tirthankara Sambhavanatha Ji. Tirthankaras are enlightened spiritual teachers who guide souls toward liberation (moksha) by teaching the path of righteousness, self-discipline, and non-violence.

According to Jain traditions, many auspicious events occurred at the time of his birth, which brought great joy to the kingdom. Hence, he was named Abhinandana, meaning one who is celebrated or welcomed with joy.

Renunciation and Enlightenment of Abhinandananatha Ji
After living a royal life, Lord Abhinandananatha renounced worldly pleasures and accepted asceticism. Through deep meditation and penance, he attained Kevala Jnana (omniscience) and began preaching the path of liberation based on non-violence, truth, and self-control.

Lord Abhinandananatha ultimately attained Nirvana at Shikharji, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Jainism.
