Arishtanemi Ji also known as Neminath or Neminatha, is the 22nd Tirthankara of Jainism and one of the most revered spiritual figures in Jain tradition. Jain tradition place him as a contemporary of Krishna, the ninth and last vasudev.

Arishtanemi was a cousin of Bhagwan Krishna. On the eve of his marriage to Princess Rajul (Rajimati), he heard the cries of animals gathered for the wedding feast. Deeply moved by compassion (Ahimsa), he renounced worldly life immediately and embraced asceticism.
