Gautam Buddha was a great spiritual leader, philosopher, mendicant, meditator and religious leader. He was born as a prince. But the luxurious lifestyle did not appeal to him much. Buddhists do not believe in any kind of gods and goddesses. Some Hindu texts consider Buddha to be an incarnation of the god Vishnu.

Gautam Buddha is the founder of Buddhism. Gautama Buddha taught that suffering is caused by attachment and desire, and that the way to end suffering is to follow the Eightfold Path. The Eightfold Path is a set of guidelines for living an ethical and moral life. Buddhism is a diverse religion with many different schools and traditions. However, the goal of all Buddhists is to attain enlightenment or nirvana. Enlightenment is a state of complete peace and happiness, free from suffering.

Buddhism is one of the world's major religions, with over 500 million followers. It is practiced in many countries around the world including India, China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
