This journey is led by Bhagwan Balabhadra. That is, the chariot of Balabhadra Rath is in the forefront, which is also called Taladhwaja. In the middle is the chariot of sister Subhadra Rath called Padma Rakh or Darpadalan and at the end is the chariot of Bhagwan Jagannath Rath called Nandighosh.

Everyone, including the Daitapati involved in the rituals, will have to undergo RT-PCR test or both will have got coronavirus vaccines. Due to the current pandemic situation, devotees will not be allowed during all temple functions, and only sevaks and temple officials will be part of the holy rituals.
