Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple History and Architecture:
Established around 1765 AD, the temple's origins trace back to the relocation of the Travancore capital from Padmanabhapuram to Thiruvananthapuram. The idol of Lord Ganesha was initially kept under a peepul tree at Sree Pazhaya Sreekanteswaram Temple before a shrine was constructed with the support of Dharma Raja.
The main idol Sri Mahaganapathy (Bhagwan Ganesh) is installed in a seated posture with the right leg in a folded stance. Other worshiped deities are devi Durga, Bhagwan Vettakkorumakan (a war deity), and Dharmasasta (Ayyappan). The temple houses 32 different forms of Lord Ganesh. The temple is Managed By The Indian Army.

Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple is open for the whole week and the darshan timing is 4 AM to 8:30 PM. The main Vazhipadu (Offering) is the breaking of coconuts at the temple.
