Brahma-Baba i.e. Lekhraj Kripalani was born in 1876 in Hyderabad, Sindh. In his fifties he was a diamond merchant. Brahma-Baba said that he had a dream and he retired and returned to Hyderabad. Since then he turned towards spirituality.
Brahma-Baba is the founder of Brahma Kumari sect.
The Brahma Kumari sect is the largest spiritual organization in the world run by women. Prajapita Brahma Baba, the founder of this institution, decided to put mothers and sisters first from the very beginning and due to this, Brahma Kumaris have maintained their separate existence among all the other spiritual and religious institutions of the world.
Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya is a worldwide spiritual organization that started in 1939 in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. This organization focuses almost exclusively on Rajayoga methods of meditation, and is known for the prominent roles of women in it.
