Planting a Tulsi plant in every house is considered auspicious. Bhagwan Shaligram resides in the root of Tulsi. It is believed that Devi Lakshmi resides in Tulsi and it is more fruitful if the mantra of Bhagwan Vishnu is chanted with Tulsi garland.
Rules of wearing Tulsi garland
❀ There are many strict rules for wearing Tulsi garland. The person wearing this garland should always eat pure food. Apart from meat, alcohol, one should also stay away from tamasic food.
❀ The person who has worn Tulsi garland should not remove the garland even by mistake again and again.
❀ Before wearing Tulsi garland, it is necessary to purify it thoroughly with Ganges water. The garland should be worn only when it is dry.
❀ The person who wears the mala of Tulsi should not wear the mala of Rudraksh. It has the opposite effect.
❀ If you cannot wear Tulsi garland around your neck, then you can wear it in your right hand. The condition in this is that this garland has to be taken off at the time of daily work. Wear it only after purifying it with Gangajal.

You can get many benefits by wearing Tulsi Mala. Apart from being revered, Tulsi is also full of medicinal properties. It drives away many diseases. It is said that wearing a mala of Tulsi purifies both the mind and soul and increases positive thoughts in the mind.
