Devi Patan Temple, located in Tulsipur, about 25 kilometers from Balrampur, is a revered Shakti Peetha dedicated to Devi Pateshwari (Durga). It is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peetha of Devi Sati. According to tradition, the right shoulder (pat) of Devi Sati fell at this sacred spot, giving the temple its name \"Devi Patan.\" The temple is especially famous for its tonsure (head-shaving) ceremonies and offerings made for the fulfillment of vows.

Devi Patan Temple is located in Tulsipur, Balrampur district, Uttar Pradesh. The temple is well connected by road to Lucknow, Gonda, Balrampur, and surrounding districts. Tulsipur Railway Station is just 2 km from the temple. Gonda Junction is the nearest major railway station. The nearest major airport is Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya.
The presiding deity of the Devi Patan Temple is Maa Pateshwari Devi, a revered form of Devi Durga. It is believed that the right shoulder of Devi Sati fell here. Traditions of the Nath sect associate the temple with Guru Gorakhnath, and according to local legends, the temple was later renovated by Vikramaditya. Other deities worshipped are Bhagwan Shiva, Bhagwan Hanuman, Bhagwan Ganesha, and Bhairava.
This temple has long been an important pilgrimage site for devotees from both India and Nepal.
