Sanwaliya ji temple is located in the town of Bhadsora, Mandaphia and Chhapar, about 40 km from Chittorgarh on the Chittorgarh-Udaipur Highway, Rajasthan. The temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Krishna who is also known as Shri Sanwariya Seth. The historical city of valor and devotion - Mandaphia is now known as Shri Sanwaliya Dham and is home to the Shrinathji Temple, second only to Nathdwara, for the followers of the Vaishnava sect.
History and Architecture of Sanwaliya ji
The Sanwaliya Ji temple complex is a beautiful structure built in pink sandstone. The specialty and importance of Sanwaria Seth Temple is that this temple is a grand temple dedicated to the black stone of Bhagwan Krishna. People believe that visiting the court of Shri Sanwalia Seth fulfills all their wishes. Stories of finding gold out of nowhere due to the blessings of the deity are commonly heard in this region. Hence, it ranks second in the list of religiously important temples dedicated to Bhagwan Krishna for the Hindu community.
According to a legend, a milkman Bholaram Gurjar once had a dream of three idols being buried in Bhadsoda-Bagand. When he shared the details, the villagers started looking for the idols located in Bholaram's dream and found the idols of Bhagwan Krishna. Two of the idols were installed in two different places (Mandaphia and Bhadsauda), while one was kept where it was found (Bhadsauda-Bagund). Temples were then built at the places in honor of Bhagwan Krishna. Devotees from all over the world visit the temple to pray for the fulfillment of all their wishes.

The doors of Sanwaliya Ji Temple open at 5:30 am and remain open till 23:00 pm. The aarti timings of Sawariya Seth Temple include Mangala Aarti, Evening Aarti and Falahar Prasad.
Major festivals in Sanwaliya ji temple
All major festivals are celebrated in the temple every year. Janmashtami, Maha-Shivaratri, Holi, Phooldol Festival, Navratri, Ram-Navami, Jaljhulni Ekadashi, Deepawali and Annakoot festivals are celebrated.
A 3-day huge fair is organized every year on Devjhulani Ekadashi. Every month on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha, the donation box (treasury) of Sanwaliyaji is opened and Mahaprasad is distributed on the next day i.e. on Amavasya in the evening.
