Anup Jalota, is an Indian singer, musician and actor, best known for his contributions to the Bhajan genre of Indian music. He is popularly known as the "Bhajan Samrat".

Anup Jalota, the household name for bhajans, has thought of nothing but music all his life. His father, Bhajan exponent Purshottam Das Jalota, is also his guru. He released his first album 'Bhajan Sandhya' in 1975 which proved to be a major hit. The album featured some of the most famous bhajans like 'Hare Krishna Hare Ram' and 'Tumhi Ho Mata Pita Tumhi Ho'. His next album 'Giridhari' released in 1977 was also highly successful.

Anup Jalota, India's "bhajan king," is a Padma Shri-winning musician and the voice behind the country's favourite devotional music.
