What is Khatu Shyam Nishan Yatra? (खाटू श्याम निशान यात्रा क्या है?)

Nishan Yatra:
Nishan Yatra is also of great importance in the Falgun Fair. Nishan Yatra is a kind of padyatra in which devotees carry the Shri Shyam flag in their hands and come to Khatu Shyam ji temple to offer Shyam Baba. This Shri Shyam flag is called Nishan. Mainly this journey is done from Ringas to Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, which is a journey of 18 km.
Under this yatra, devotees also start from their respective homes with their reverence. It is believed that Baba is soon pleased and fulfills the wishes of the devotee by offering a Nishan to Shyam Baba by traveling on foot.

Why do devotees offer nishan’s to Shyam Baba? | The glory of offering Nishan to Shyam Baba:
In Sanatan culture, the flag is considered a symbol of victory. A nishan is offered to Shri Shyam Baba for his great sacrifice of head. In which he donated his head to Bhagwan Shri Krishna for the victory of religion.

Nishan's Format:
The nishan is mainly saffron, blue, white, red colored flag/flag. On these flags, there are photos of Shyam Baba and bhagwan Shri Krishna ke Jaikare and darshan. Coconut and peacock are also attached on some nishan’s. A rope is tied at its end, through which this nishan is fluttering in the air. Under the present system, many devotees are now offering gold and silver marks to Shyam Baba.
