Radha Ashtami is an important Hindu festival dedicated to Devi Radha Rani. It marks his birth anniversary and is celebrated with great enthusiasm especially in North India. Radha ji is considered to be an incarnation of Devi Lakshmi and the lover of Bhagwan Krishna. This festival is celebrated with prayers, fasting, kirtan and bhajan. Radha Krishna temples are decorated, and special pujas are organized. Devotees seek blessings of happiness, health and prosperity.
