Kartik Maas 2024 (कार्तिक मास 2024)

Kartik Maas is the eighth month of the Hindu calendar, which falls in October and November of the Gregorian calendar. In India's national civil calendar, Kartika is the eighth month of the year.
Importance of Kartik month
One of the favorite months of Bhagwan Vishnu, the month of Kartik is considered very important in Hinduism. Snan, charity and Bhagwat pujan are done throughout the month of Kartik, Bhagwan Vishnu, the protector of the world, has described him as the month that gives renewable fruits. Describing the glory of the month of Kartik, Bhagwan Brahma himself says that the month of Kartik is the best among all the months and Kartik among the months, Bhagwan Vishnu among the deities and Narayan Tirtha (Badrikashram) is the best among the pilgrimages.

'Na Kartikasamo Maso Na Kriten Samam Yugam, Na Vedam Sadrisham Shastram Na Tirtha Gangaya Samam' means there is no month like Kartik, no era like Satyug, no scripture like Vedas and no pilgrimage like Ganga. The god element becomes stronger from this month. Worshiping Tulsi with Bhagwan Vishnu in this month is considered fruitful. Apart from this, bathing in the Ganges, donating lamps, performing yajna, charity etc. in this month gets rid of all troubles. Festivals like Diwali, Chhath Puja, Dhanteras, Tulsi Vivah, Bhishma Panchaka, Vaikunth Chaturdashi, Dev Diwali Kartik Purnima are observed in this whole month.
