What is Ravi Yog? (रवि योग क्या है?)

Ravi Yog is an auspicious combination (yoga) in Vedic astrology that is considered highly favorable for success, prosperity, and good fortune. It is formed by the specific positions of the Moon and the Sun in the zodiac.
Formation of Ravi Yog
Ravi Yog occurs when the Moon is placed in a specific position (Nakshatra) from the Sun.
According to the Panchang (Hindu calendar), Ravi Yog is formed when the Moon is not in the 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 12th, or 14th Nakshatra counted from the Sun’s Nakshatra. Significance of Bhadra Kaal.

Significance of Ravi Yog
❀ It is considered an auspicious time for starting new ventures, important work, or religious ceremonies.
❀ Tasks started in this yoga are believed to lead to success, fame, and progress.
❀ It is also favorable for travel, education, and business deals.

Duration of Ravi Yog
Ravi Yog is a one-day or partial-day combination, depending on when the Moon changes Nakshatra relative to the Sun’s position. Hence, it starts and ends at specific times mentioned in daily Panchang.

When Ravi Yog is Not Favorable
If Ravi Yog coincides with an inauspicious Tithi (lunar day) or Karan, or if it occurs during Rahu Kaal, then it’s better to avoid starting major work at that time.
