According to Puranas, Bhagwan Dattatreya is the deity who is a combined form of Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar. According to religious texts, Shri Dattatreya is the sixth incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu. He remained a celibate and avdhoot for life, so he is called omnipresent.

He is considered to be the form of both Guru and God, due to which he is also called Shri Gurudevdutt and Parabrahmamurti Sadhguru. It is believed that by worshipping him, the seeker gets the boon of attaining all the achievements. Every wish is fulfilled by listening to his story during worship on Dattatreya Jayanti.

पुराणों के अनुसार, भगवान दत्तात्रेय देवता हैं जो ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और शंकर के संयुक्त रूप हैं। धार्मिक ग्रंथों के अनुसार श्री दत्तात्रेय भगवान विष्णु के छठे अवतार हैं। वे आजीवन ब्रह्मचारी और अवधूत रहे, इसलिए उन्हें सर्वव्यापी कहा जाता है।
