According to the Hindu calendar, Ramakrishna Jayanti is celebrated on Falgun Dwitiya Tithi Shukla Paksha. Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa was a great saint, thinker and social reformer. He was born on 18 February 1836 in Kamarpukur village, West Bengal. It is said that Ramakrishna's parents had experienced supernatural events even before his birth. Ramakrishna ji was a saint and he got the title of Paramhansa. In fact, Paramhansa is a title given to those who have the power to control their senses.
