Guru Har Krishan Sahib was the eighth Guru of Sikhism. He was born on 7 July 1656 in Kiratpur Sahib and became Guru at the very young age of five after Guru Har Rai. He is lovingly remembered as “Bal Guru” (Child Guru) because of his young age and extraordinary spiritual wisdom.

He became Guru in 1661 and served the Sikh community with compassion, humility, and selfless service.

According to a famous legend, Guru Har Krishan Sahib humbled an arrogant scholar by asking a simple water carrier named Chajju to explain sacred verses. By the Guru's grace, the man explained them beautifully, making it clear that true wisdom comes not from arrogance but from divine blessings.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is a famous gurudwara in Delhi that is closely connected with Guru Har Krishan Sahib. It is believed that he helped cure suffering people there during the epidemic. The sacred water of the sarovar is considered blessed by devotees.
