Ashok Singhal was a senior leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and one of the most prominent leaders of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Known for his strong organisational skills and deep ideological commitment, he played a key role in shaping the activities of the VHP for several decades. He joined the VHP soon after its inception (1964) and eventually became its international president.
