Baba Ramesh Puri Maharaj, born in Tirtharaj Prayag, is an environmentalist and saint of Braj. Baba has done remarkable work to save the mythological form of Braj. He has generally been given the title of Virakt Sant of Braj by Braj Rasikas. He is also called the saint of the environment. The reason behind this is that he had conducted public movements for many decades for the forest parks of Braj and the ancient hills associated with Krishna Leela.

Baba received education in Prayag itself. The spiritual light within him always inspired him to leave his home and come to Braj. About 40 years ago, Ramesh Baba used to play Mridanag at Radharani temple. Ramesh Baba also contributed a lot in spreading the name Radha.

Saint Ramesh Baba has been awarded Padmashree. This honor has been given for cow service. More than 50 thousand cows are present in Gaushala Mataji in Gahvarvan of Barsana. Ramesh Baba has built a hospital for cows and other animals. Under the leadership of Ramesh Baba, Radharani Braj Yatra is also organized every year, in which thousands of devotees participate and circumambulate Braj.
