Kamlesh D. Patel, known as 'Daaji', is an Indian spiritual teacher, meditation guide, author, and the current global guide of the Heartfulness movement. He teaches Heartfulness meditation, a modern approach to the Sahaj Marg system of Raja Yoga.
Spiritual Journey
Patel became a disciple of Shri Ram Chandra (Babuji) of Shahjahanpur and, following Babuji's passing, continued his journey under the guidance of Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari (Chariji). In 2011, he was named Chariji's successor. After Chariji passed away in December 2014, Patel became the fourth guide in the Heartfulness tradition.
Heartfulness Meditation
Daaji's teachings focus on meditation, inner transformation, a balanced life, and the evolution of consciousness. A distinctive feature of Heartfulness is 'Yogic Transmission' (Pranahuti); practitioners believe that this aids in deep meditation and spiritual growth.
He has also worked to bring meditation to people from diverse backgrounds, placing special emphasis on youth, education, and practical approaches to well-being.
Kamlesh Patel's Legacy
Daaji is widely associated with efforts to integrate meditation, spirituality, education, environmental awareness, and inner well-being into modern life. He has also been deeply involved with 'Kanha Shanti Vanam,' the international headquarters of Heartfulness.
