Vallabhacharya was a 16th-century saint who is considered the founder of the Vaishnava sect of Hinduism. He is most famous for his efforts to unite India under one flag. To achieve this, he embarked on a series of yatras across the country, spreading his message of peace and love. Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhu, also known as Vallabha, Mahaprabhuji and Vishnuswami or Vallabha Acharya, founded the Krishna-centred Pushtimarga sect of Vaishnavism and the Vedanta philosophy of pure Advaita in the Braj region of India.

He is a Jagadguru Acharya and guru of the Pushti Marga Bhakti tradition and Shuddhadvaita Brahmavada (Vedanta philosophy), which he founded after his interpretation of Vedanta philosophy.
