Gulabrao Maharaj, also known as Pragnyachakshu Madhuradvaitacharya Gulabrao Maharaj, was a Hindu saint, philosopher, poet, and prolific author from Maharashtra. Despite becoming completely blind at the age of nine months, he gained renown for his extraordinary scholarship in Vedanta, Bhakti, Yoga, Ayurveda, and comparative philosophy.

Maharaj believed that spiritual realization and loving devotion are not mutually exclusive. Even after realizing the non-dual nature of reality, a devotee can experience a sweet, personal relationship with Krishna through devotion. Gulabrao Maharaj considered himself a spiritual disciple of Saint Dnyaneshwar. While his teachings bear the deep imprint of the Dnyaneshwari tradition, he also developed his own original philosophical framework.

His followers regard him as one of the most important modern saints of Maharashtra. His works are still studied in spiritual and academic circles today, and numerous organizations are engaged in the digital archiving and republication of his writings.
