Mahant Ravindra Puri who is the President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and also the President of Mansa Devi Trust of Haridwar. He started his religious journey by joining Panchayati Akhara Shri Niranjani and became the secretary of the Akhara in 1994.

Under his leadership, the sages and saints took a pledge to cooperate in the propagation of Sanatan Dharma. He has also held the post of Secretary of Akhara Parishad. Mahant Ravindra Puri took sannyasa initiation from Mahanirvani Akhara and joined the executive of the Akhara after the Kumbh Mela of 1998.

In 2007 he became the secretary of the Akhara and since then he has held various responsibilities of the organization. Due to his simple nature and leadership abilities, he emerged as a prominent saint in the Akharas. As a Bal Sevak of the VHP-led Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Mahant Ravindra Puri supported many Mahants, Sanyasis and Kar Sevaks in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in 1989–1990 and the demolition of the disputed Babri structure in 1992.

The government provides many facilities to the saints and Akharas in the four major Kumbh sites of the country - Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik and Ujjain. The role of Akhara Parishad President is important in smoothly implementing these arrangements and creating coordination between the government and the saints. Apart from this, the Council also works for the promotion and protection of Sanatan Dharma.
