The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is going on in full swing and it is expected to be opened for devotees in January 2024. It is believed that Bhagwan Ram Lala's Pran Pratishtha will take place on January 22, 2024, at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present during the Pran Pratishtha.
The UP government said on 28th April 2023 that the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla, called 'Pran Pratishtha', in the sanctum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will take place on January 22, 2024. Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna announced by tweeting from his official account that the construction of BhagwanRam's sanctum will be completed by December 2023 and will be opened for devotees. The construction of the second floor and other parts of the temple will continue.

Details about Ram Mandir idols
Shaligram stones have been used to make the idols of Bhagwan Ram and Mata Sita. The stones that have been used to make the idols have been procured from Nepal and are believed to be 60 million years old and were discovered in the Kali Gandaki River in Nepal.

The height of the idol of Bhagwan Ram will be between 5 to 5.5 feet. The height of Bhagwan Ram has been chosen in such a way that the sun's rays fall directly on Bhagwan Ram's forehead on the day of Ram Navami. The idols will be made in Ayodhya where the construction of the Ram temple is underway.

Earlier, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, the treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will install the idol of Ramlala in the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The temple started receiving donations even before its construction was completed, and according to information released by the temple trust, donations to the temple have tripled since January 2023.

Once completed, the temple in Ayodhya will be the third largest Hindu temple in the world after Pashupatinath in Nepal and Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
