Nahar Singh Pandey was the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief and Rajpandit of Maharaja Gogadev. It was Nahar Singh Pandey who lit the first lamp in the temple at the Samadhi site after the Mahaprayan of Lord Gogadev at Gogamedi, 1000 years ago on the Hindu date Bhado Shukla Navami Vikram Samvat 1082, corresponding to the month of August 1025. This place was on the banks of the then flowing Saraswati River, which now exists underground. Even today, the descendants of Shri Nahar Singh Pandey perform the worship of the devotees by sprinkling Gogashis water and using a brush to fulfil their wishes.

Pandit Malaram (Mallu Dutt), a Saraswat Brahmin, was brought from Bathinda, Punjab by Gogaji's grandfather, Amarji, and was an ancestor of Nahar Singh. Nahar Singh was Gogaji's dear friend. Whenever Gogaji became angry, no one dared to approach him. Only Nahar Singh could muster the courage to confront him. Read about Goga Navami.

Nandidatta was the only man in Gogaji's palace who bore the heavy burden of difficult duties. It was Nahar Singh Pandey who trained Gogaji's two sons, Sajjan and Samat, to use weapons.

Nahar Singh Pandey's Ambassadorial Work -
When Gogaji sent Nahar Singh Pandey to Kabul to perform his ambassadorial duties, this song from old books, composed based on oral stories passed down from generation to generation, can be heard on the lips of devotees, in the style of Ala Udal.

Narasingh Pandey should reach the court where the court was being held.
The court was splendid, its hall was beyond description.
Princes were on every chair, chieftains on every fool.
The Doms were making noise there, and everyone was listening to their praise.
Narasingh Pandey went and bowed his head to everyone.
Sarwar and Sultan were sitting on the throne next to him.
Give the letter, Narasingh forgot everything.
As soon as he read the letter, he said, "Brother, listen carefully."
Read the letter to everyone as it came.
Narasimha was killed on the seventh and fifth day, creating a ruckus.
Three hundred soldiers died, all the armies of the lake were destroyed.
When Narasimha saw this, he rode his horse forward.
As if black pigeons were eating in the redness of the dark clouds.
Sir, sir, sir, he kept flying with his wings spread in the sky.
It seems as if the horse of the gods has landed.
