Chidananda Saraswati was a Hindu monk, teacher and writer. He was born in India and was a disciple of Swami Sivananda in 1937. He established the Chidananda Ashram in Rishikesh, India.

Chidananda Saraswati was a proponent of Vedanta philosophy and taught a variety of yoga and meditation techniques. He wrote several books on these subjects, including "The Yoga of Meditation" and "The Essence of Vedanta".

Chidananda Saraswati practiced a non-sectarian, universal form of yoga. He often led satsangs in which all prophets and saints (Lord Jesus, Ahura Mazda, Lord Buddha, etc.) of all world religions were named and honored equally.
