Buying gold and silver on this day is considered very fruitful. This day is considered to provide special fruit. The Puranas of this day is also said to have special significance. It is believed that Satyuga started from this day.

Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated every year on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. This day is considered very auspicious. It is said that auspicious things can be done on this day.

Significance of Akshaya Tritiya:
Akshaya Tritiya has also been considered as the most popular muhurat. Any auspicious work can be done on this day without seeing the panchang. From this day Bhagwan Jagannath’s Rath build work starts. It is written in the Puranas that the tarpan and pind daan offered to the ancestors on this day is very fruitful.

On this day, things like marriage, house-entry, purchase of clothes or jewelry or purchase of house, plots, vehicles, etc. can be done. On this day, all sins are destroyed by bathing the Ganges and worshiping Bhagwan.
